Liaw is also deeply connected to two other firms central to Supermicro's activities. An unnamed sibling of Liaw holds about 11.7% of Ablecom, an affiliated company managed by one of Liang's brothers that supplies the physical framework for server racking and stacking. Liaw's sibling also owns 8.7% of another related firm operated by another of Liang's brothers, Compuware, which addresses specialized power distribution requirements for Supermicro's clients.
